Based on the listed ingredients, none of the 14 major EU allergens. Always check product labels.
Method
- 1
Mix. Mix 6 tbsp dried chamomile flowers and 2 tbsp dried culinary lavender in a jar to make about 8 tbsp blend.
- 2
Brew. Put 4 tbsp blend and 4 thin lemon slices in a glass teapot or its strainer.
- 3
Steep. Pour over 960 ml just-boiled water, cover so the aroma stays in, and steep 5 min (up to 7 for stronger brew; be careful as lavender turns soapy if overdone).
- 4
Strain. Strain into mugs and add a lemon slice to each.
- 5
Serve. Sweeten with honey if liked and serve hot.
Storage
The dried blend keeps airtight and away from light for up to one month. Cool leftovers in a shallow container and refrigerate within 2 hours (within 1 hour on a day above 32°C).
