Garlic and Rosemary Crusted Roast Beef

Inspired by techniques from America's Test Kitchen and NYT Cooking.

Roast beef · Garlic-rosemary · British

This follows the same slow-roast method as our slow-roast beef, but the joint is coated in a rosemary, garlic, lemon and chilli paste, roasted over whole garlic cloves, then blasted at high heat to crisp the herb crust — served simply, without puddings or gravy.

Why this label?

High Protein

54.4 g protein for 511 kcal = 10.6 g per 100 kcal, so protein gives about 43% of the energy. High Protein needs at least 20% (5 g per 100 kcal), the condition in the Annex to EU Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006. How we decide

EU nutrition claims

  • Sugar-free: 0.1 g sugars per 100 g (limit ≤ 0.5 g)

Per 100 g of the finished dish, worked out from the nutrition per serving and the lowest likely cooked weight (about 116 g a serving), so the true values are, if anything, lower. Thresholds from the Annex to EU Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006. How we decide
